Hard to access due to mountains, dense forests, and poor roads, Iga (along with Koga) is famous for being the birthplace of ninjutsu. It borders the provinces of Ōmi (to the north), Yamashiro (to the northwest), Yamato (to the southwest), and Ise (to the east).
