Vagrant/Necromancer

Physical Description:
Kage is a frightening character, with ghastly porcelain skin. Her eyes are profoundly crimson, and often cause a state of stupor to those who fearlessly gaze directly upon them. Upon her left cheek is a crescent, which looks as though it is merely soot on her face, but if one were to try to rub it away it would not disperse. On her other cheek, there is a similar tattoo, that of an ‘x’. Her arcane countenance has been known to scare people off, as well as the clothing she often wears. Her attire consists of a solid black kimono, with a thin maroon obijime on the obi, as well as a black haori, and a haversack for her supplies. Her long black hair cascades past her shoulders, and when it is light outside, one can often see the reflections of golden and maroon streaks within her hair. The young yōkai stands around 5'7.
If Kage were to remove her clothing, one would find something horrible. Scars of her torture are all over her body, her hands and face were unharmed because those were the portions of her body needed to cast spells, and create potions.
Personality Description:
Despite her seemingly wicked, vile, malevolent, however one would put it, appearance, she is nothing as she seems. Her voice is soft, and quite gentle. She's quite observant, analytical, and intelligent. She is aged with wisdom, care, and a gentle kindness. In fact, one could say she's exactly the opposite of her frightening semblance. She is quite calm, and patient. It is very difficult to disrupt her waters, or even stir up any form of anger.
Kage is very ashamed of her past and even her origins. She is ashamed of her scars, her magic abilities, and the hatred she has for Zenaku. She has told no one of the trials and tribulations of her life, nor of her necromancy abilities. She fears her powers, and she fears becoming an evil, horrible man like her master was, and never uses them unless for self-defense.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: Food, noodles, night time, oceans, cats, and meditation.
Dislikes: Arrogance, pride, vanity, envy, and stupidity.
History:
Kage is unsure of her exact origin, and she barely remembers her parents. Her mother was a yōkai, who practiced necromancy, as well as anti-matter. Both very serious and dark magics. Her father was a bakeneko henge, or a cat shapeshifter that often found the human form of a male.
While that is all she knows little of her parents really, she does remember very clearly their deaths. When she was seven a group of ninjas slew her parents, while she hid in a pile of brush pretending to be dead.
She wandered, starving, living off any thing she found in the forests of Iga no Kuni. She was alone aimlessly searching for civilization for many days before a man of probably thirty five found the small yōkai laying against the trunk of the three. He was a merchant, attempting to get through the difficult forests of Iga to reach Yamashiro, where his permanent home was. Having no children of his own, and feeling the sorrow for the lost child, he took her in.
It was quite apparent she was different from the start as he journeyed with her back to Yamashiro. Her powers became more and more evident through accidents, and he knew if he wasn't careful, someone would discover what she was. He attempted desperately to make her seem and even look normal, and often had his local priest within his village to pray upon her. But that made no difference. She grew older, and the accidents with her magic became more frequent.
Hiro, her adoptive father had taught her love, respect, care, and gentleness despite the dark magic that seemed to seep from her very body. When she was 14, he had asked around in the small community of magic he could find about some sort of school, or temple she could go to in order to train her abilities. However, he had no such luck. No priests wanted anything to do with a yōkai, muchless one what seeped the dark magics.
One night though, a storm poured upon their little village there was a small knock upon their little abode. It was a mysterious man, who offered to train Kage, to teach her to wield and control her magic. Hesitantly Hiro allowed the strange being to enter his home, and through the use of manipulation, and possibly magic, Kage recalls, the man convinced Hiro to let his baby go with the man.
Kage left with the strange man, who turned out to be a humanoid yōkai. The demon took her to a small temple of his own within the mountains of Iga, and there for years he trained her. He was not at all a nice man, and his intentions were discovered shortly after she arrived at the temple. He forced her into learning necromancy, as well as the magics of anti-matter. Both were draining subjects, and he pushed her so hard. If she did not commit, she was punished through the use of curse, disease and life draining spells on her. She learned many curses and spells from Zenaku.
Kage hated it, the dark and hateful magic that was forced upon her. It often ate at her insides. But she knew nothing until Zenaku began to use the magic of anti-matter on her. Kage was constantly drained of her life force, and ki. Through years of brutal, torturous training, Kage mastered necromancy, alchemy(comes along with necromancy quite often) as well as anti-matter magic. Due to the fact that her mother was a pure necromancer, and she herself had been trained by a monstrous yōkai, she grew more powerful than her master. When she was forty three, she slew him, using the magic he had forced upon her to annihilate him. His intentions were to use her as a weapon, however, he did not count on the fact that she'd end up much more powerful than himself.
Anti-matter magic is sort of a spreading sickness, that eats flesh into nothing. But it can be used for anything organic, not just the flesh of beings. It's been known to be very dangerous, slow and excruciating. Many have died of the pain it causes before actually being killed by the anti-matter itself. It takes years to fully envelope the body of a human. Those who possess magic within them are effected more so, and the anti-matter spreads faster, as the magic accelerates the anti-matter. There are numerous ways to cure an anti-matter sickness. One must kill the demon, or necromancer who cast the anti-matter upon them. A very skilled healer must heal it (which would take days of energy to do). The demon who cast the anti-matter can remove it. Or there is a secret plant that only necromancers know of that will remove the sickness.
Kage quickly returned to her home village, using her instincts and knowledge to get home, only to find her village and father were gone. Filled with sorrow, Kage became a wandering vagrant, finding no purpose in life. She did odd jobs here and there, earning enough to eat and cloth herself. She created potions for treating common ailments such as the flu, hair loss, warts, blisters, headaches and even the cold, and would travel and sell those for a living as well. Currently she is still just a wanderer.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths: Kage is an ambient necromancer, with mastered spell-craft, as well as alchemy, and the mastery of anti-matter magic. She is very powerful magically, and mentally. She is able to regenerate through the use of lifetapping other beings, as well as meditation. Her potions can work wonders for the body, and even the mind. She is a kindly person, who does not mistake fear with anger. She is very understanding, and observant. She's incredibly passive and it's a challenge to stir her pot.
Weaknesses: Kage is often haunted with nightmares of her torture, and training. She fears dark magic more than anything, and is unwilling to use her abilities unless she absolutely must. Physically, she is not very strong. Emotionally she is unstable and she is not capable with coping with her feelings. She bottles her sorrow, anger, and hate. She hates being alone, and yet always is.
Weapons/Armor:
Kage carries no sort of external weapons, nor armor. Merely whatever clothing is upon her back.
Magic:
Being a necromancer, she is able to cast a multitude of spells, which consist of curses, damage over time diseases.
Lich form: When Kage takes the form of a skeleton or a lich, she is able to transfer her physical health into magical energy, allowing her to use more magic in a day, or more magic in between meditation. One must take into account this takes a physical toll on her. After she dispels her lich form, she will be comatose for days. (She uses that extra magic while in her lich form.)
Life Tap: Her life tap ability is not complex, and one of the simplest necromancy spells. She merely has to touch a victim, and she can heal herself through the use of their physical health. This drains her mentally, but can cure any ailment, wounds, etc of hers. She cannot kill a person with this ability. If she takes too much life force from a person, she can damage her own body. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. So if she uses this ability, there has to be enough of her own body to heal to disperse the energy. Side effects on the victim include bone aches, muscle aches, vomiting, headaches and loss of consciousness. If she takes too much life for her body to disperse or use, she can experience headaches, nose bleeds, seizures and loss of consciousness.
Necrotize Ally: It means what it is literally. She can raise anything as her minion. A skeleton, a dead cat, or dog, or fox, etc. Her warder is her choice. This spell requires a constant magical flow, and if she becomes unconscious, her warder will disappear. If her magic becomes too weak, her warder will disappear. She can dismiss it at any point she wishes.
Army of Dead: She can raise up to hundreds of skeletons at once to create an army. They are easy to destroy, and are often taken out with one blow. Due to the weakness of the skeletons, and her mastered abilities and energy, she is able to cast this spell without too much of a loss. This spell unlike her warder spell is very basic, and her warder is much stronger, almost like half of her.
Icy Stitches: This is a healing spell of the necromancer that can cure any diseases, or physical ailments at the cost of the caster's own life force. This spell often puts Kage into a comatose state as well. The severity of the wound she heals will amount to how long she is physically ill herself. She literally takes their illness.
Anti-Matter: Explained above in history. This magic effects Kage the most, both mentally, and physically. Being a necromancer of conscience, she cannot bring herself to cast such a horrid spell upon anyone. She has only cast it once and that was on Zenaku, her vile master.

"Here you go little one," A soft voice said gently, before a pallid hand soothingly patted the head of the sick ten year old. The woman rose, her black kimono shifting. "Thank you Kage," An elder woman said bowing deeply to the necromancer. "We appreciate that you've done this for Hana. She's been so sick for so long,"
"I understand," Kage said softly, nodding at the elder woman. The elder woman and child wandered off, away from Kage's small little stand in the market place the village.
"What does this do?" A young man asked, picking up a bottle filled with a thick, green substance. "That promotes good health, prevents balding." Kage answered solemnly as he set the bottle down. "And this?" He asked, picking a small vile of Grey fluid up. "Kills lice on your body, instantly,"
"How much?" The man asked curiously.
"Whatever you can afford dear," She smiled at him gently. He looked at her suspiciously. "Will I die if I drink this?" He asked hesitantly.
Kage laughed heartily. "Oh no,"
He looked around the market, before pulling out a two small silver coins and handing them to her. She thanked him, and he stalked off with his new found prize. The day lingered slowly, and Kage closed up her shop, packing the remaining potions, her mortar and pestle along with her other tools in her haversack which she tucked away under her black haori, before wandering off to find a good meal. After which she'd find a good place to rest, and continue her journey... tomorrow, another day.
