Name: Rita
Other characters: Just this one at the moment.
In Character:
Name: Fujiwara no Tsuru
Aliases: Tsuru
Race: Human
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Occupation/Class: Imperial family member/Nobility
Orientation: Bisexual
Physical Description:
Hair: Tsuru's hair is black, but appears to have blue highlights in the light, and reaches up to her waist. Her hair is quite wavy due to the fact she styles it into different hairdo's every once and awhile.
Eyes: Large, doll-like eyes (described to have glass looking eyes) and the eye colour is brown, sometimes amber in some lights.
Height: 163cm
Clothes: As a member of the Imperial family and nobility class, Tsuru wears a kimono called Juni-hitoe, a 12 layered kimono. Tsuru usually wears her kimono according to season (eg: pink and white and red for spring, purples for winter, etc).
Skin: Pale, almost ghostly, and smooth but sometimes said to be cold. Often seen with rosy cheeks.
Personality Description:
Tsuru has a good critical faculty and is able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgement to be made on her. But Tsuru cannot take any other answer but her own once her mind has made up (especially to people whom she considers inferior aka intellectually inferior people). But Tsuru’s character is on the whole balanced, diplomatic and even tempered.
Tsuru’s cast of mind is artistic rather than intellectual. She has good perception and observation and her critical ability, with which she is able to view her own efforts as well as those of others, gives her work integrity.
The negative characteristics may show frivolity, flirtatiousness and shallowness. Impatient of routine, colourlessly conventional and timid around strangers, easygoing to the point of inertia, seldom angry when circumstances demand a show of annoyance at least. When pushed to the edge, Tsuru can have a short temper.
Likes: Cherry Blossoms, good food, kabuki, handsome men, romance stories and peace.
Dislikes: Things not going her way, loud noise, pain (mental and physical), chaos, betrayal and being forced to make hard decisions.
History:
-The Fujiwara Clan-
T he Fujiwara clan (藤原氏 Fujiwara-shi), descending from the Nakatomi clan, was a powerful family of regents in Japan. The Fujiwara dominated the Japanese politics of Heian period (794–1185) through the monopoly of regent positions, often marrying their daughters to Emperors. Through this, the clan would gain influence over the next emperor who would, in traditional Japanese tradition, owe loyalty to his grandfather. At the end of the 11th century, the Fujiwara lost its influence greatly after the rise of the warrior class.
Beyond the 12th century, the Fujiwara still manipulated the Imperial Court until the system was abolished in the Meiji Era. Though their influence declined, they still acted as close advisors to succeeding Emperors.
Fujiwara no Tsuru was born during one of the coldest, longest winter’s in living memory. From the moment she was born, the young girl was destined to marry into the Imperial family (her many cousins had already married imperial family members) but Tsuru was the first born daughter and her father thought; she deserved the future emperor.
Her childhood was nothing out of the ordinary; Tsuru learned Court protocol, etiquette, how to dress, play musical instruments, compose poetry, and so forth and so on. Basically the boring old stuff. As far as one was concerned, the girl’s life was nothing out of the ordinary; in fact it was almost boring until Tsuru decided to sneak out.
Against the advice of her servants, the 16 year old girl decided to disguise herself as a merchant’s daughter and wondered into the world outside of her golden cage. There she met a handsome, young ronin and, as you can imagine, they hit it off and spent the day and night together, doing things that Tsuru never imagined. No, that does not mean the dirty bits; in fact it never got that far.
The world outside proved to be too big and overwhelming for the young girl and with that, she ran back into her gilded cage and vowed never to come out..For now.
Strengths: Diplomatic, charming, easygoing, romantic and sociable.
Weaknesses: Indecisive, gullible, changeable, self-indulgent and flirtatious.
Weapons/Armor: None.
Magic: None.

Tsuru leaned on his shoulder, smiling like an idiot and she closed her eyes. Boy the things she had done today! She watched a Kabuki play, ate peasant food (it didn’t taste that bad; in fact better than she thought it would be) and for once, did not hide behind a paper screen. What amazed the young girl most was the fact that women were all out in the open, for everyone to see! Women back in court had to hide behind screens, lest our chastity was questioned. Tsuru felt a pang of jealously for peasant women.
“What’s your name? We’ve been together the whole day and I still don’t know your name.” A male voice asked. Tsuru was jolted out of her thoughts and turned to face her handsome ronin; raven black hair, nice, evenly chiselled features and the most beautiful eyes she had seen in a man. In fact this is the first man she had seen up close.
“My name? Oh you don’t need to know it.” Tsuru said in a flirtatious voice and started to run from him. As you can imagine, this gave him quite a shock.
“When will I see you again?” His voiced asked, though it grew more distant.
“Oh never! Never!”
“Never?!” He exclaimed in a surprised tone.
And with that, Tsuru’s escapade in the outside world ended.
