I know, I know, everyone hates reading the rules. But they're here to keep things running smoothly. Let's keep things simple, yeah? If you found your way to an RP forum, I'm gonna assume that we all know the general RP rules. The generic stuff is all relevant here - no GM'ing/PP'ing, no garystu/marysues, no killing a character without a person's permission etc. As well as that, the usual forum rules also apply - play nice with the other kiddies, respect the staff, don't use gigantic, eye-burning graphics or spam the boards.
All clear here? Of course, if you're totally new and you're confused about any of that, feel free to ask either in the C-Box or make a thread in the support board.
Now for a few specifics.
General
- No PLAGIARIZING (as in, from other people's applications) or COPY/PASTING (from Wikipedia or another source) regarding character applications. Your work should be original, and it should be yours! We will not accept applications that have been stolen or copied from other sources.
- As far as mature themes go, let's keep it PG-13 or under, yes? Do not break the ProBoards TOS.
- Currently there's no set word count for each RP post (it seems a bit constricting to creativity). Have your posts as long as you like, but please try to be as literate as possible.
- Listen to the staff. If you think you may have been treated unfairly, please contact Niva directly.
- On that note, please do not contact the staff about accepting character applications until at least 24 hours have passed. Mods need sleepy time too.
- Characters CAN be killed, but only if they are of MILITARY STATUS. Those who are NOT involved in war must give permission in order to be killed. The death or destruction of a character will be done through battle and determined by a dice roll. To read more on that, click here
Character
- Your character name should be your username.
- Activity permitting, you may have as many characters as you'd like.
- Please ensure that the human/yōkai character ratio is kept even. That's not to say you can't make only one character, and have it be a yōkai. But if you do make more than one, please try to balance it out, so we don't get cluttered with yōkai.
- Dead characters stay dead. If you die or decide to kill your character off for any reason, there's no throwing a Phoenix Down and having them come back. They're dead. You may create a new character, or continue with your dead character in the realm of Heaven or Hell.
- We accept both anime/game and real life face claims (but having a claim isn't mandatory). You can have your claims added here.
- Regarding claims, please do not add yours to the list until your character has been accepted.
- Also, if you would like to view a list of characters we are currently looking for, just follow the links as directed.
C-Box
- No spamming.
- Keep the conversation PG-13 or lower.
- No impersonating staff, guests or other members.
- Be respectful of others.
- No chatspeak.
- No advertising.
* The C-Box is strictly OOC. We have a Character Directory where we can add your OOC username; this is what you can go by in the C-Box and what other members can call you OOC. Along with this, we will be able to add a list of your current characters. A 'who plays who' if you will.
